2023 has been a great year at StackWave, with two major releases and a slew of smaller improvements, frequently based on the feedback you’ve given us! In this post, we wanted to touch on some of the larger improvements we’ve made.
Titration and Dose Response Experiments
In v15, we released support for performing titration and dose response experiments in Affinity. These new tools allow scientists to create assay plate templates, specify the details of their experiments, and then load the measurements directly from their devices. Affinity then computes the Hill parameters, quality metrics, back-calculated concentration values (for titrations), and plots.
Next Generation Sequencing
Our next major release allowed scientists to import and analyze NGS sequence data, identify clones of interest based on enrichment, mutation frequency, and amino acid properties, review sequence alignments, export the analyzed sequences for external use, and request expression for clones of interest through Affinity’s built-in protein expression module.
Inventory Improvements
Affinity has always provided outstanding support for creating and managing inventory, but we took the time to make improvements in a few areas based on feedback. We overhauled lot and aliquot generation, streamlining both and making them faster to perform. We also added an interactive box map for more quickly exploring tubes in storage.
Architectural Improvements
Our most recent work has involved making changes "under the hood" - less flashy changes that nonetheless provide a better experience overall. We've upgraded system components and improved system performance to speed up processing, reduce wait times, and further improve the robustness and reliability of our platform.
