Samples are used in StackWave Affinity to represent materials that can be assayed
The samples index page allows for reviewing registered samples in Affinity. The user is not able to manually register new samples here, as this occurs throughout the application in various locations, for example while registering or rearraying a clone plate. Filters can be applied on any column to narrow the displayed samples . Click on an ID to navigate to its details page.
The sample details page includes an Aliquot button in the upper left which will create a number of tubes or vials of the given sample after the user specifies the volume and concentration.
The sample details page will differ slightly depending on the material of the sample - for example there will be different attributes of a plasmid sample compared to an antibody sample. However, in general there are two sections, Details and Lineage. The details section displays all attributes of the selected sample, and users with appropriate permissions are able to edit certain fields.
The Lineage section is a graphical representation of the lineage of this lot sample, consisting of the direct line and the family. These are most commonly useful with samples related to selections or those generated from rearrays - the user is able to visualize which plates or selection rounds a lot sample originated from.
