The Assays admin area has two sections - Assay Types and Picklists - these allow users to define custom assay types for upload in the Analytics module
Assay Types
Allows an Administrator to register new assay types or edit those which already exist. Once registered, the admin can specify the fields that define the assay type by name, type, whether or not it’s required, and whether it is result set level (i.e. the same value applies for every sample included in a single upload, such as creation date) or sample level (i.e. a different value will be provided for each sample specified in the assay upload).
Picklists
One of the data types available when configuring an assay type field are picklists. To create a new picklist, first give the Picklist a name, and then define any number of options for the user to select when using this picklist.
