      Global Application Settings

      Application Settings configure Affinity to better fit your organization. Below is brief description of each setting. Some sections may not be enabled in your LIMS, depending on the modules chosen by your organization

      • Application
        • Enable analytics? - Toggles website analytics for Affinity pages (i.e. page visit tracking, etc).
        • Organize projects by - Controls whether top level organizational grouping is labeled “Program” or “Customer.
      • Gene Therapy
        • Enable sequence alphabet configuration? - Enables a new tool in the Admin dropdown that allows the administrator to define custom alphabet sequences.
        • Default aptamer alphabet - Default alphabet used for aptamer oligonucleotide registration.
        • Default antisense alphabet - Default alphabet used for antisense oligonucleotide registration.
      • Inventory Management
        • Default container location - Configures the location in which new containers will be added, unless otherwise specified.
      • Sequence Analysis
        • IgBLAST Directory - Directory on the server in which IgBLAST files are expected to be found
        • Enable automated sequence analysis? - Toggles whether the system automatically performs analysis on sequences during sequencing uploads. If enabled, the default pipelines (defined below) will be used to annotate uploaded sequences and call unique clones, if any.
        • Default antibody sequence analysis - Analysis pipeline for samples not explicitly from phage or hybridoma.
        • Default antibody sequence analysis - from hybridoma - Analysis pipeline for samples from hybridoma.
        • Default antibody sequence analysis - from phage display - Analysis pipeline for samples from phage.
      • Protein Production
        • User Assigned Tasks Email - Unless set to disabled, configures the notification frequency for assignees of Protein Production workflow tasks.
        • Protein Request Email List - Whenever a new protein request is made, any email addresses specified in this list will be notified.
        • Vector Construction Request Email List - Whenever a new vector construction request is made, any email addresses specified in this list will be notified.
